To go to a Kingdom Hell is about as exciting as watching paint dry. They must be very short of news in Stevenage. -

New hominid Species Discovered in South Africa
by cofty inhomo naledi has been added to our family tree but exactly where, is still to be discovered.
read more here.... over 1500 fossils making up 15 separate individuals have been discovered in a cave near johannesburg.
here are a few highlights of it's anatomy.... the skull was globular, like a member of our genus but the brain was small and primitive.

Patience Rebel! give it time. When the research is done a date will be arrived at.(I already have suggested it might be in the region of 1.75 million years). In this case the determination will be based on the phylogeny or the biological "family" characteristics. This will slot the physical features evident in the skeletons into the known evolutionary developments in the hominid family. Whatever the results it will continue to put more nails into the creationist coffin. -

For clarity's sake, the concept of a missing link is unscientific since 'chains' do not metaphorically illustrate the scientifically determined theorem of evolution. If you want to find an intermediate genus between man and ape there are a half a dozen or so species of the hominin called Australopithecus found in the Rift Valley of Tanzania and down south-westwards down to the Transvaal in South Africa. They walked walked upright, had human like teeth but were able to climb trees easily. At the same time more human-like hominins of the genus Homo lived alongside them.
The new find H. naledi, does look like an early Homo erectus species which might date it around 1.5 to 2 million years before present but a lot more post-excavation research will be needed to bring to light all the evidence.
For the record, whereas due to great advances in medicine we are now taller and healthier than we were a hundred years ago, if we were to travel back in time half a milllion years in Europe including southern England, the species of human H. heidleburgensis were taller still than we are now and extremely robustly built. (I visited the primary UK archaeological site during excavations at Boxtree).

Are you angry for having been a JW?
by Half banana ini remember seeing the ex-jws parading around outside the assembly like lepers holding placards of hate.
we were the righteous and enlightened ones... and they were lost in outer darkness.
just dont look at them was the standard response to their unwelcome presence..

So the answer is mainly yes we have anger towards the Watchtower org...can we put it to use. I wonder?
Phizzy, regrets; most certainly but the anger is towards the smug self-righteousness of the GB. The lack of care for those sexually abused is symptomatic of the ethos of the whole organisation. It exists for the furtherance of its leadership and nothing else. They foster a culture of dependency based on the edicts of the GB as if they come from God's own mouth... but in practice there is a systematic emotional abuse of all its subordinate members.
Not surprising that some of the emotionally abused go on to do similar abusive things to others.

I remember seeing the ex-JWs parading around outside the assembly like lepers holding placards of hate. We were the righteous and enlightened ones... and they were lost in outer darkness. “Just don’t look at them” was the standard response to their unwelcome presence.
But hold on a minute why should they want to disrupt the peace of a convention? Why bother taking time and effort especially when nobody takes any notice?
No one including me stopped to think they might have a point to make! They are just so wrong we thought, and we were so right! It’s simple JW black-and-white, us-and-them thinking. Life is so simplified for a JW... it’s either the holy GB or Satan... no half measures, no subtleties to the meaning of things. You don’t even have to bother your brain to think.
We on the other hand have used our brains and given it a good amount of thought followed up with research. I am angry for losing my family to this self righteous deluded and harmful cult but frankly, at the same I am also much happier for not being under the Watchtower spell.
How about you, are any of you still angry? Even years later?
Shouldn’t we show the Jdubs just how angry we are to have been deceived by the WTS?

Phil Reece had seemed to me to be a reasonable human being (I was young when I met him) but listening to his paranoid drivel just now indicates he was just a Watchtower zombie. Interesting though, was that not many years after the interview he was dismissed from the London Bethel for alcohol dependency. Perhaps he knew it was all baloney and sought a refuge in drink. -

What ARE the fruits that the JW tree produces?
by TTWSYF inmy brother [the elder] often refers to this line as to 'knowing a tree by it;s fruits'.
so,my question is what are the jw fruits?.
just asking....sincerely.

I reckon their actual fruits include delusion, the stamping on the human spirit, the suppression of self expression linked to the slave mentality required to be a JW and the inward looking indoctrination coupled with exclusion of education. -

Could "this generation" inspire a new "1975 debacle"?
by Island Man ini think that it's possible that they're getting ready to issue a new end time date insinuation like they did with 1975. now i know what some of you are probably thinking: why would they be so stupid as to repeat such a mistake, knowing what happened in 1975?
well here're two reasons why i think they could do it:.
first, it's important to remember that they are deluded.

I think they are just as likely to say that the "spiritual " paradise actually arrived just after 1975 when they agreed to have a governing body. It would cover two bases; this would make use of the 1975 date and the timing of their own elevation to sainthood as demi-gods. "The paradise came invisibly!" ---(vomit bag needed) -

Prologos mentioned that they got 1914 right... sorry friend but no they did not! They got it entirely wrong. It was to be the first year of world peace! Nobody could get it more wrong. Russell was gravely disappointed at the failure in 1914 to realise his own prediction baby of the end of human rule on earth and the establishment of God’s government worldwide. Watchtower revisionist history of course sees it differently. The WTBTS have never got anything right and never made a correct prediction. They have never said anything useful apart from directing money to their own bank.
The doctrines they guard, which are often confusing and contradictory such as the generation thing, are just to shift the focus of the flock away from thinking about the glaring lack of divine approval they demonstrate. This is what doctrines are for.
